Umax ve spolupráci s taiwanskou společností QNAP Systems uvádí na český trh nejmenší 8-diskový NAS server nové generace SS-839 Pro na bázi nízkopříkonového procesoru Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 2GB DDRII paměti a nápaditým designem. Díky použité technologii a 2,5“ SATA diskům (popř. SSD diskům) přináší tento server až 60% úsporu energie proti klasickým serverům s 3,5“ disky a je schopen poskytovat vynikající výkon a intenzivní přístup k datům zejména ve firemním prostředí 24 hodin denně, 7 dní v týdnu. Zcela nový je také unikátní firmware verze 3.1 s AJAX uživatelským rozhraním, které dovoluje snadnou konfiguraci serveru přes webové rozhraní méně technicky zdatným uživatelům.
SS-839 Pro je spolehlivý server, podporující duální Giga LAN, RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ spare konfiguraci a další skvělé funkce jako jsou “ Online RAID Capacity Expansion”, “Online RAID Level Migration” a také “iSCSI target servis” (Internet Small Computer System Interface) s použitím virtuálního diskového prostoru (tzv. Thin Provisioning) a AES 256-bitovou úrovní šifrování, automatickou ochranou blokování IP, okamžitým SMS varováním a SSL bezpečnostním certifikátem.
SS-839 Pro podporuje zabudovaný iSCSI target servis s tzv. Thin Provisioningem. Pro rozšíření kapacity nebo zálohování existujících aplikačních serverů v síti lze vytvořit až 8 iSCSI zařízení. To dovoluje efektivní a flexibilní alokaci potřebného prostoru pro aplikační servery v závislosti na aktuální kapacitě NAS serveru. Kromě toho SS-839 Pro podporuje zabezpečení dat pomocí AES 256-ti bitového šifrování, takže přístup k datům je možný pouze autorizovaným heslem.
SS-839 Pro také podporuje technologii správy disků S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) a komplexní logovací systém dovolující manažerovi serveru podrobně monitorovat práci systému. LCD panel s ovládáním je navržen kromě informací o stavu systému také pro základní konfiguraci systému bez použití počítače. SS-839 Pro má zabudovanou řadu funkcí jako např. file server, FTP server, DDNS podporu, webový server s instalovaným phpMyAdmin, MySQL server, tiskový server a řadu dalších. Všechny tyto funkce jsou dostupné v platformách jako Linux, UNIX, Mac a Windows.

Umax ve spolupráci s taiwanskou společností QNAP Systems uvádí na český trh výkonný NAS server nové generace TS-809 Pro na bázi výkonného procesoru Intel Core 2 Duo 2,4GHz, 2GB DDRII paměti a podporující až 8 SATA disků s maximální kapacitou 16TB dat. Server je schopen přinášet vynikající výkon a intenzivní přístup k datům zejména ve firemním prostředí 24 hodin denně, 7 dní v týdnu. Unikátní design s vertikálním uložením až osmi disků dovoluje lepší rozptýlení a odvod tepla než klasické horizontální uložení. Vestavěný LCD panel s dotykovým ovládáním je navržen kromě informací o stavu systému také pro základní konfiguraci systému bez použití počítače.
Díky použitému dvoujádrovému procesoru přináší server vynikající výkon zejména pro podnikové prostředí. Výsledky měření při čtení a zápisu dat po síti dosahují hodnoty převyšující 100 MB/sec. Nechybí podpora duální Giga LAN, RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ spare konfigurací a další skvělé funkce jako jsou “ Online RAID Capacity Expansion”, “Online RAID Level Migration” a také “iSCSI target servis” (Internet Small Computer System Interface) s použitím virtuálního diskového prostoru (tzv. TS-809 Pro podporuje zabudovaný iSCSI target servis s tzv. Thin Provisioningem. Pro rozšíření kapacity nebo zálohování existujících aplikačních serverů v síti lze vytvořit až 8 iSCSI zařízení To dovoluje efektivní a flexibilní alokaci potřebného prostoru pro aplikační servery v závislosti na aktuální kapacitě NAS serveru. TS-809 Pro podporuje zabezpečení dat pomocí AES 256-ti bitového šifrování, takže přístup k datům je možný pouze autorizovaným heslem.
TS-809 Pro také podporuje technologii správy disků S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) a komplexní logovací systém dovolující manažerovi serveru podrobně monitorovat práci systému. TS-809 Pro má zabudovanou řadu funkcí jako např. file server, FTP server, DDNS podporu, webový server s instalovaným phpMyAdmin, MySQL server, tiskový server a řadu dalších. Všechny tyto funkce jsou dostupné v platformách pro Linux, UNIX, Mac a Windows.
